​Kirin Tipping (a.k.a Kiki) has her nieces Lucy and Penny to thank for the concept for LusciousKiki – at eight years of age Lucy presented the idea to Kiki and with Penny’s help, set about designing the menu. Since 2012 they have assisted Kiki every step of the way. Both girls taking every opportunity to assist Kiki with coming up with new & exciting flavours! 



The philosophy behind LusciousKiki Cakes products has been derived from Kiki's almost 35 year career in hospitality combined with her fierce love of our fabulous Australian produce & Indigenous ingredients.



It is our promise that all ingredients utilised in our lamingtons, cakes & biscuits will be sourced locally from Aussie producers and suppliers whenever possible.

Low Low Gluten (LLG), Low Gluten, Dairy Free & Vegan Yum-Yums

 

At Luscious, providing a wide variety of options is what it's all about! Along with years of study, in depth research & obtaining the best "replacement" ingredients, adhering to anti cross-contamination protocols & best practice criteria is the priority in the kitchen.

 

Low Low Gluten: This is a yum-yum made on gluten free flours - chick pea flour, rice flour, tapioca flour, coconut flour & buckwheat, along with gluten free baking powder are used to replace "regular flour" in our yum-yums. These items are less than 20ppm but more than 3ppm of gluten.

 

Low Gluten: where all but one ingredient is gluten free, such as oats. Less than 100ppm but more than 20ppm.

 

Dairy Free: canola oil, coconut oil & sunflower butter, & coconut milk are used to replace conventional dairy products.

 

Vegan: freshly grated apple or flaxseed meal are used to replace conventional egg products.

 

Each option entails a seperate preparation process, with each utensil, piece of equipment & work suface cleaned during each process. All ingredients are kept in seperate containers, clearly marked. All ingredient labels (manufacturer's labels) are thoroughly checked prior to use. Naturally, cleanliness & hygiene are equally important & the use of a steam gun is also employed throughout the entire Luscious kitchen.
